Hello everyone. I am new to the X-Wing community. This is my first miniature game and I started playing it back in september. While visiting my locale game store Fire for Effect in Oshkosh, WI. The owner talk me into trying a game using only the starter set. I played against my nephew and we were both hooked. Two days later I played my first local tourny and I did alright. And my addiction to the game had sunk in as most my thoughts over the next month was how to beat the guy who won.
I really enjoy every aspect of the game. I've already started customizing a lot of my models. My collection is small compared to some but Ive already got 3 firesprays, 4 interceptors, 7 tie fighters, advance tie fighter, 2 bombers, and a lambda. Each fire spray painted for Fett, Scarlet, and Karassis.
As my addiction grew I scowered youtube for videos to watch. Some of my favorites are the miniwargame beat Mat batrep. Not that they have a ton of them. So I figure why not make my own.
Since then I have descovered the heaven of online board gaming Vassal. Now when my kids go to bed I get to play a few new people every night. And play against some great unexpecting builds.
Now I have a youtube channel just for all things X-Wing. I have some real life videos. Vassal games and a how to install and set up X-Wing Vassal with good audio quality that walk you threw step by step. I would also like to start possible a weekly or by weekly news vlog segment.
