A Good Looking Z95!?!?

Things I always love

- People making statements concerning EU/canon that have no bearing on EU/canon

- Opinions of Fanon that get mistaken for Canon

there are MANY ships called the "Z-95 Headhunter" just like there are multiple ships called the Y-Wing, a few different ships called the A-Wing, and more being called Cloakshape fighters. Disney/Lucasfilm already has an on-screen canonical depiction of a Z-95 from the Clone Wars cartoon, but there are many other fighters with the same name.

Ok. A quick question (whatever ones opinion of what a Z-95 is or isnt *L*) Due to a Shapeways file crash i have lost seveal of my fighters and a few retro rockets. Some can be simply reuploaded but due to a personal comp crash earlier a few others including my E-Wing and Z-95 Mk4-S (no tail, and later period aesthetics in the details) have had to be remade almost from scratch.

I have finished redoing the E Wing (and used the opportunity to improve the detailing somewhat) But. When doing the Z-95 i thought id ask opinions.

Since this is, in my little design reality, the last version of the Z-95. Designed with astromech support and as a proper space fighter, should i remove the swing wing details as that would add complexity and possible fragility for no serious benefit in space, or leave the swing wing function 'just in case'? As there will always be need for atmospheric ships even if the game doesnt involve them yet.

Oh, and i am thinking of taking the guns off the wingtips and placing them in the wing roots to see if i can make that work, maybe as another version. Opinions?

Well, the later models of Z-95 had fixed wings and no R2-unit (the on board computer could do all the necessary calculations, though it wouldn't have the ability to repair the ship like an astromech).
