It's the first that Chun Li has won.

She's gotten to finals twice so far now. (not counting Motor City, since it was a Remy deck that sandbagged Chunners).

first of all:

top 8 was all team atlanta(after diversity)

second of all:

the scores dont make any sense with FFG's new system, I (hanzo kick 4th) got 4th in swiss with a 2-2 record, over a few other people with a 3-1 record. and im sure there will be many more complaints about it

and since noone else has said anything yet:

Teams:

1. chun-li, frogase, zangief 3-0

2. sakura, hanzo, rafiel 2-1

3. Fio, frogase, Gill 1-2

4. elena, remy, and sorry forgot the last 0-3

since there were 4 teams we did round robin, team 1 vs 3, 2 vs 4 first round. 1vs 2 and 3 vs 4 for 2nd round, and since it was clear they were gonna win we ended and team 1 took the victory.

another pretty horrible part of this tournament was the abduction of 10 playmats during singles and the street fighter banner marco eventually won saturday night

prize support was a heaping stack of promos and some nice printouts including a huge fortune and glory print, 16 morrigan playmats 2 morrigan posters and a poster of sakura drinking a juice box.

Ya I have heard the new software has had some issues I plan to bring this up for the may SOTG.

I feel for Scott, not becuase of diversity (it happens, and for gods sake you shoulduv expected a second frog! me hears they multiply like mad in the heat of the South ^^), but BECUZ technology sucks. The tournament software also has a hardon for me, and I'm sure Scott and I are not alone.

It singles us out like a stalker!!!

Technically they chose not do have a bye matter (credited it with 3 points instead of 2 so counted as a normal win)

Also if the software worked like it should have he probably wouldnt have gotten in anyway since Keenan was 3-0 and faced Ben S round 4 and scott at 2-1 (having already lost to Ben S.) faced me, and we figured if I'd given him the win he wouldnt have topped because of strength of schedule, but we ended up playing it out and his 2-2 kept him below on the bogus numbers that silly software created lol

Also I'm probably going to put up a full report in a bit, look forward to it, I BEEN READY

That system was majorly screwed up. Strentgh of schedual REALLY should not have taken precedence over wins and losses, especially with 2-2's getting in over 3-1's. The other scary part about the system however, as our judge/organizer Paul pointed out, is apperantly there is a bonus points feature. Apperantly a tournament organizer can now go in and assign bonus wins to players arbitrarily. Keep track of your records at tournaments guys, if you end up getting cut from top 8 randomly, make sure it was not because someone wanted someone else there. But still, the main problem was the strength of schedual thing. Also, another problem is, there were only 26 people there I believe, and under the current system, that isn't enough for a regional tournament. Hopefully we can get something done about that at some point.

Either way, tourny was a blast. Great to finally meet the infamous scott gaines, and of course, watching ATL sweep the thing was absolutely ridiculous. Also, for those interested to know, Chris Escarcega was there, actually trolling the convention, it was possibly the greatest thing I have ever seen.

Listen Listen technology sucks because Ben L. was 2-2 and was in fourth Ian was 3-1 and placed 10th....also i was 2-1-1 and didnt get in yet monte got in with the same record....the whole thing is screwed up and lame....but good times outwayed that shiot and i enjoyed being part of team atl plus i agree it was also great to meet scott gaines

Sucks about the stuff going missing/being stolen, though. What happened with that?

well as i wrote in my report, everyone who can report under there, we went to cut to the top 8 and hand out prizes before top 8, after the initial prize support was handed out, me and paul got into a discussion and after 2-3 minutes everyone left to go get food except for me and the game plan guys, paul turned around because he was gonna double check prizes for those who didnt cut top 16 and he started screaming "where'd everything go" we all looked, asked him what's wrong and he explained he brought in 26 playmats, *he handed out 16* so 10 were missing, we tried to deduce who it was... but we cant prove anything, hopefully the guilty parties will fess up and send the stuff back to Paul so we can sort this matter out... Also the Regionals Banner/Trophy was stolen while we left it on the wall in a what was supposed to be secured room, and from what i was told by scott they got there and it was gone... yeah and not only that we left a couple cases of Grape Monster in there... that also went missing... i think when SEC II happens, we will be asking for security cameras...
