To be honest u know i love u bob and prophet, but u also know that in the same postsion u would have done the same thig as Dew and Philly, bc they wanted to top 8 as much as any of us did. I mean if ur pissed that the didnt tie would u still be pissed if Mt_Do won and made top 8? U gotta look at it from their point of views and yea sure it leaves a bad taste but believe me i no when i got beat outa top 8 in NY. Just learn from this expierence and realize that anything can happened in the BIG LEAGUES!
NOVA Regional Aftermath
Ok well this was really the situation I was trying to avoid. To put things in perspective I was very frustrated about what happened, but I had no intention for it to turn into an arguement. Thats why I didnt make a big deal of it at NOVA, and why I didnt post till now.
Just a couple of things tho...
1. I love all you guys. You guys are my friends and I always have the best time playing matches against you guys. I dont hold any grudges about everything. I had a great time at NOVA and it as nice to greatly improve since the ECC last year.
2. Despite popular belief I wouldn't have played it the same way. If I earn a draw, I earn a draw. Same things with wins and losses. Top 8 is important to me yes, but following the tournament rules is a little bit more important. Be that as it may yes things happen. Guys can report as they want to. It's all a personal choice. I don't think anyone who has posted up hasn't had something simular happen to them and can understand the frustration I had.
3. Would I have been as frustrated if Mt_Do made it in the top 8? Yeah...would have been the same situation, just a different person. I wasn't holding any bias as far as who it was, but as to what happened.
Either way what's done is done. Talked with Shane on the phone last night...everything is cool. I still had a good time, got to see alot of players I hadn't seen in a while, and had alot of good games (boths wins and losses).

Now as for following the rules i wish everyone would too, but no one does if it means top 8 then the rules r out the window when it comes to reporting a draw, win, or lost. i mean it happens all the time ppl make deals to win or get in top 8 and theres really nothing we can do about it but pick ourselves up and do better the next time. I know what its like not to top and be screwed outa top but its nothing to get mad over for a long time. If it would have happened to me it would have sucked yes, but i would have been over it b4 i left. Yeah, I talked with Bob about it.
9th place is an above-average feat to have on your record.
I don't want to revive the topic, but I don't see how Norb would have made it in as well as his brother Bob. If Philly and Mt_Do drew, that means Sontag would be the one boosted into 7th place, and that would be the cutoff for 10 points, leaving one slot open for 9 points. Bob had the highest SOS, so he would barely make the cut. Cruise would be in 9th place, so he still wouldn't be cut out of top 8 for diversity and Norb into top 8. So in all, no matter what happened the last top 8 spot would have belonged to Philly/Dew/Bob. Norb was two steps away, but still a respectable performance.
No matter what I did win at one thing..I didn't get violated by Chubbs

Those pics are the tek. It's funny cause Chubbs didn't even say a word to Tanner at Nationals, but was all over him at Worlds.
