LFG Roland C.II or Albatros CIII for Richtofen on Russian Front?

By Gunmetal1986, in Wings of War (WWI)

WoW has an LFG Roland CII miniature in Series II and mentions this was Richtofen's aircraft for his duty on the Russian Front flying two-seaters. I have a book titled "The Illustrated Red Baron" by Peter Kilduff (Wellington House, London, 1999) and on page 23 it shows a photo of Richtofen and his squadron standing before a group of Albatross CIII s. The page also says that Richtofen flew that plane with Kampfgeschwader 2 in Russia.

Did Manfred v. Richtofen fly both the Roland and the Albatross in Russia? What source was used for the LFG Roland C.II that Richtofen flew? Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, he started in a 2 seater... then moved into sinlge seaters before his move to the opposite side of germany

That's right - both the Albatros CIII and Roland LFG were 2-seaters - thus my question about which one Richtofen flew in Russia.
