Fate cards to play in the resolving of the Edge battle?

Does the opposing player that has a Fate card or cards, simply go 1st in the Edge

battle... thus, resolving to tally the comparison of Force icons in the edge stacks.

Where as the victor who has the most Force icons, wins the Edge battle?

Or, can an Edge battle actually take place without having any Fate cards?

Understanding, the means of having an Edge battle, Fate cards are only used in

this type of play.

Any card can be used in an edge battle. Fate cards are just the only cards whose abilities work during an edge battle.

Therefore, Fate cards aren't a necessity.. just helps either side for abilities that are listed on the fate cards themselves.

Beneficial to definitely have Fate cards represented in Edge battles... ok, got it. Thanks again!
