With black riders released, I've seen a good amount of hobbit decks posted, most to get through the black riders scenario. But can a hobbit deck be a one deck to rule them all? If so, would you use the standard merry, pippin (lore), Sam? Or would you switch it up to get some spirit in there for all the threat reduction and hobbit cards? Thanks.
Hobbit strategy
Merry, Pippin, and Sam is going to be the gold standard. Sam and Merry are must haves; the whole deck is going to be based on Sam and without Merry you'll have a hard time killing things. Pippin is the most expendable but even if you substitute a spirit hobbit (Frodo is easily the best one and can't be used in the black rider scenarios) the threat lowering cards avaliable to you are not worth losing out on fast hitch from lore plus Pippin's ability provides security to Sam's multiple action potentials which are kind of the key to the deck.
If you wanted to mix it up it might be interesting to see how Sam, Merry, and Frodo would do but I'd feel like I would need to add song of wisdom because the fast hitches are just tooo good to pass up
Sweet. Thanks. That helps. Do you think this is yet a solid deck for every quest. Like I said, I've seen a lot for black riders, but what about into ithilien, or conflict at the carrock, or shadow and flame?
