Awakening Center mechanics

I know there are numerous threads on this card but none seem to answer my question.

How do the mechanics of this card work ?

Do i install face down in a remote server or behind HQ and then once i rez the card can i move to a piece of ice ? Do you in theory put this on an outer piece of ice so once the runner has passed it has to go back ?

Any explanation would be useful

You install it in a sever like a regular upgrade. Once it is rezzed you may host bioroid ice on Awakening, Awakening Center does not get hosted on any ice. The ice is installed (from your hand) face down right on awakening center. It stays there until the runner runs on the server where AC is installed. When the runner has passed all ice protecting that server you may force the runner to encounter whatever ice is hosted on AC. Once the encounter is finished (whether the runner breaks all subroutines or the subroutines resolve) that ice is trashed. If the runner broke all subroutines (or there were no EtR subroutines on the ice) the runner accesses the server as usual and may trash AC. You can use Awakening center only once per run but you may have more then one AC installed per server in which case you can force the runner to encounter ice off of each AC.

In addition to Frybender's fairly comprehensive explanation, I'll just add that 'all' also includes 'zero', so if there is no ICE protecting a server, you may still trigger Awakening Centre before access.

Just so we're clear, that ICE hosted on Awakening Center goes there directly from your hand, not from ICE in play.
