60/120pts squad challenge

Squad Challenge 1

Design two squads, one rebel and one imperial. 60pts max each squad.

Design two 60pt rebel squads that complement each other (max 120pts, no pts sharing)

Squad Challenge 3

Design two 60pt imperial squads that complement each other (max 120pts, no pts sharing)

why? my LGS is having a 2v2 format, 60pts per player, 120pts per team.

any input appreciated.

Challenge 3 :

Imperial 1:

Captain Kagi + FCS + Gunner + Engine Upgrade

Sabre Squadron Pilot + Push The Limit

Two ships with the same loadout. I'll edit it to make it more clear. The idea is that both B-Wings can ion to support Han or each other.

I'm going to hold off on Challenge 1 until I get some feedback: Are the Rebel and Imperial fleets supposed to complement each other? 'Cause I've got some hum-dingers! 'Til then...

I played a game a few days ago with three players on each side at 60 points each. It was on a 6'x4' table. We saw

Luke+R2D2+Marksmanship

Biggs

Tycho+PtL

Green Sq. Pilot+PtL (They both had missiles of some kind)

Jan Ors+a bunch of upgrades

Dagger Sq. Pilot+Adv Sensors

The Empire had

Boba Fett+ridiculous upgrades

Vader+something

Avenger Squad+Shield Upgrade

Tempest Squad

Tempest Squad

Alpha Squad

(we only had two interceptors or there would have been one or two more)

All the players started in different areas of the table and the chaos ensued. It was a great match and I highly recommend multiple players at 60 points each.

I might try something like this.

Squad 1:

  • Blue Squadron Pilot + HLC (29)
  • Dagger Squadron Pilot + HLC (31)

Squad 2:

  • Captain Jonus (22)
  • Obsidian Squadron Pilot (13)
  • Obsidian Squadron Pilot (13)
  • Academy Pilot (12)

Each squad is at 60 points. The TIE Fighters dash in to break up enemy formations. Jonus and the B-Wings hang back and deliver the pain via Jonus-buffed HLC fire.
