ISB ships

By alpman, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I'm looking for a ships that are used by the ISB. I only found the ISB Operations Ship, yet. Do you have other ideas or ressources?

Wookieepedia mentions that the ISB sometimes uses the Vigil-class corvette as a heavy transport. Beyond the Wookieepedia entry, there are stats in the Age of Rebellion Beta.

Why not use a CR90a Assasin-Class Corvette? The CR90s were used by all parties... I wouldn't doubt the ISB secured a few for their own use.

From the ships in EotE, I'd consider the Citadel too.

Thanks for your input. Since the ship should be a significant threat I think I'm fine with the CR-90.

a 150 m Corvette is several magnitudes more dangerous than a 40m patrol ship.

Wouldn't most ISB ships just be imperial navy ships assigned to ISB missions with ISB mission personnel and an ISB vetted crew?

Probably, but I think there's been at least some reference of ISB-specific vessels used for various missions, such as a retro-fitted Guardian-class cruiser mentioned in the OP's post or the Vigil-class corvette. There's also the modified TL-1800 that the "Hand of Judgment" took as their own ship in the Allegiance novel after they went AWOL. So there is precedent for ISB-only craft.

Since I haven't seen the Vigil-class used outside of Age of Rebellion's beta, I'm leaning more towards the ship in the OP and the Melnor Spear (the modified TL-1800) as representative of "the ISB trend", which to me would indicate a preference for if not reliance on modified versions of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) starships instead of purpose-built ones, when not requisitioning other Imperial starships.

Don't forget the gamma class shuttle. Back in WEG days if you came across a specialized imperial ship odds are it was presented as a gmma variant.

For the ISB and Imperial Customs, I am using a ship that was created by an individual for the X-wing miniatures game. Ferlin Pomfrett created the Rampart Class Imperial Customs Cutter. His sizing puts it a little bit smaller than the Falcon. I recently used the fan-stats for the YZ-775 for this ship. Either one works pretty good.

Here is his 3D model of the ship.

Personally, I give the ISB (and any Inquisitors I've used) whatever is fitting for the mission. I normally start with anything that may be "standard" for the Imperial Navy, and then work out specifics based on the job at hand.

For example, I've given an ISB member an "acquired" heavily modified YT-2400 as he needed to get in and out of places very quickly and reasonably discreetly. Alternatively, I had a team of ISB members use a small capital ship, like a Carrack or Lancer.

Just a few thoughts there,
