momentum

By yoshgex1122, in UFS Rules Q & A

with momentum do i alwas discard at random unless it says other wise or do i get to look and choose which i want gone?

cause i have seen cards that state: at random and also thay look through and choose? so im confuzzled?

same with when i take a card from my momentum cause of an effect do i got to look and choose or is it alwas random?

If it say at random, then you need to rool a dice or such to discard at random, and you cannot look at your momentum.

If it say discard a momentum, then you can discard any you want, but you cannot look at it, so try to remember what is where. nothing prevent you from placing say your attacks that dealt damage on top and the "random generated from top of deck" momentum on bottom, but you cannot place some on the side, some in reverse, in 2 different piles or anythings like that to help you remember what is where.

You can only look at your momentum when it say so. any other effect must be done on "guess the card" without looking at the text side.

I was under the impression that if it does not say random then looking at your momentum is ok.

Momentum is a face-down hidden zone that may not be looked at unless an effect specifies.

You can place cards there in any order, and if you can remember what order you placed cards into your momentum, power to you.

and you cannot make different piles or stack them it a specific way, you have to make them uniformly stacked and clearly one pile

but the judge just said that it was on to put it how ever...?

ok** not on sorry

your judge is wrong. all the replies given here get a *STAMP* of approval.

how can everyone have a stamp approved if ppl where saying different things?

one person was saying it is ok to look at momentum. and another was saying u cant so who do i go by?

and i didnt mean MY judge i meant a judge on here said

so can i stack it in NE order? or no? and i cant look at NE time right?

Hi... I'm Antigoth, I'm also a Rules Arbiter...

To clarify my answer...

When you add cards to your momentum, you choose where you place the cards in the moment.

If you have cards 1,2,3,4 in your momentum, and you have a 5 th card to place it in your momentum, you can place it in any ONE of the following combinations:

5 1234
1 5 235
12 5 34
123 5 4
1234 5

Once you have placed card 5 in your momentum, it stays where you placed it, until you some how remove it from your momentum, or an effect alters your momentum.

When an effect says "Add a card from your momentum to your hand." Unless it specifies which card to add, you can choose.

So if card #5 was an Ira Sprinta, and you want it back in your hand, and it's the 3rd card from the top of your stack of momentum, you can go and pull out the 3rd face down card from your stack of momentum.

Your momentum is treated like your deck in terms of looking at it. Unless an effect says to look at it, you can't, it stays face down.

You and your opponent can however count how many cards are in your momentum at any time.

My brother form another mother Gouhadou was inaccurate in giving Dooze a stamp.

ok ok now i get it thanks :D
