Let's be fair, it would make a terrific modding opportunity. Who'd waste their time putting engine lights on a Falcon when they could be taking the rumble device out of their Xbox controller and installing it on the Carrack or the Lancer? And don't get me started on the euphemisms. The albino space hippo has nothing on the gunmetal cosmic wanger.
Getting serious for a minute, I prefer the Carrack out of the two. I'd be happy enough seeing one in the game... but judging from the pictures released for the Epic games so far, I'm not sure if it's a bit too big...
I cant argue their merit as anti starfighter platforms. But there are so many better ways they could have been designed. With the number of people they had working for LFL and West end games etc surely someone would have said "No, try this instead"

But, I was thinking about the development of the Lancer earlier. The problem is, I am already disappointed that the Gallofree and the CR90 were relatively reduced in scale. If it were to be done in 1/270, wouldn't the Lancer have to be over 3' long? The Carrack is considerably longer. :-(

Actually their design works really well for what it's supposed to do. The round hull means half the guns have coverage on any one ship at any given time.
Which is why i will not argue their merit for the purpose they are designed for. Aesthetically on the other hand they are so ugly they make my gums ache. But of course that is all relative to ones tastes. Personally i like battleships with bridge towers and 18 inch triple turrets ignoring the fact that they make no sense at all in space so my opinion is questionable at times

Wow! Just looked that one up. Very Very bad. Unless you want to do a game set in the 'I Worship his shadow' universe in which case it is perfect
