My friend and I are playing. I have Luke with R2d2. I selected a green movement to get a shield back. When I revealed my dial, I ended up running in to the base of another ship. Does my maneuver still count as executed and do I still gain a shield?

As far as I'm aware, a maneuver is still executed if you crash into something. It's just executed poorly.

I know a green maneuver is still a green maneuver even if you collide, and will still remove a stress - just like a red K-turn is still red, and stresses you even if you hit a ship and don't change direction - so I don't see anything preventing an automatic effect like R2D2 from doing his thing, unless some specific collision rules directly contradict that.
