So, a friend of mine is running a game and wants me to play a Vindicare Assassin. I am pretty new to Dark Heresy Ascension and he says he's letting me "spend backwards". With that in mind how would you spend 13k experience?

On all the sneaky, shooty-killy stuff you can find.

Speding backwars or top-down is really bad idea. Makes much more powerfull characters than bottom-up.

As noted, sniper skills are always a good spend.

If you want a good quick-start, go on the Dark Heresy page on FFG's website and pull off "Heed the Higher Call" - there's a pre-generated 13k vindicere package in there. You'll find it a **** sight faster to say "this guy, but swapping X for Y" than slogging right the way through every level of the character yourself.

One other thing I would recommend is looking at things like Common Lore (Underworld), Disguise, Deceive, Tech-Use, and similar skills. Remember that a Vindicere doesn't need much assistance to become an army-slaying death monster, but if this is an ascension campaign, it may be useful for him to be able to do something other than slot people in the head.
