What would be Dark Heresy second edition be on Only War and Rogue Trader? Could we expect those games in their second editions to be upgraded in a similar fashion, taking place in the new sector? Or perhaps will they take place elsewhere?

Also, what kind of crossover can we expect with regards to the triumvirate of those games? (I don't include deathwatch or black crusade, never got into them). Can we expect rules from the new Dark Heresy to carry over to Only War and Rogue Trader?

Its my understanding that the new version of Dark Heresy will use the Only War/Black Crusade rules to allow for crossover and so I would think that new editions of the old games will follow in this tradition.

That's what I've been wondering since DH 2.0 was announced. I care a lot less about backward compatibility than I do about forward compatibility.

What's done is done. If FFG really wanted us to continue to buy and care about older games (like DH 1.0, RT and DW) then they should have thought of that before deciding to make changes to the rules. Yes, we all know that old game material is still usable but we also know that interest in game drops dramatically when (1) support ends and (2) a new edition is created.

Of course, this coming from the guy who has been asking for a unified system since day one.
