When does a droid need to make resilience checks? The book gives three examples of when to make this check, (sleep, poison, and environment) and only environmental checks seem to apply to droids. So does anyone have any creative examples of when a droid should roll resilience?
Droids and Resilience
Resilience is also rolled to recover from Critical Hits.
You can totally make poison for droids. Slip a compound into the bottle of lubricants they need to "consume" in order to keep everything running properly.
Also don't droids usually go into low power mode as the equivalent of "sleep?" Could their processes take a detriment from not resetting periodically, like a computer running too many programs?
A software virus, malware, etc maybe. Computers would also fit there but you could probably interchange the two.
These are great ideas. Anyone have any more?
When zapped by a shock.
When hearing Vogon poetry.

Ion Blaster
It's already in the game, I don't think Resilience factors in. It just does a lot of strain to a droid.
Ahhh... So Ion blasters only strain a droid.. Good to know... Would it render them "offline" for a round or something like that as well?
No, but it has the Disorient Quality. They're already "offline" when their Strain track is fully wiped out. At base damage 10, that's like 2-3 hits for most (outside of huge soak builds).
