Anyone using Realm Works with EOTE?
That's very interesting. Is it a web based or downloadable program?
It's a downloadable program. Take a look at the link in the first post and watch the video, which explains it in a bit more detail.
Is Realm Works any better than say, Obsidian Portal? I've been looking into Obsidian Portal for organizing and tracking my campaign...and when I say campaign, I really mean loosely connected modules I purchased or found here in the forums.

It's very different. Realm Works offers a lot, lot more than OP, which is essentially an online campaign journal - it's quite light on the "organising" front.
RW allows a GM to actually build / prep for a campaign, not just chronicle it. In addition, the cloud features will allow GM's to share their campaign prep with other GM's, which is mainly why I'm posting this thread, to see if there are other EOTE GM's using it.
Again, I strongly advise watching the Kickstarter video linked in the first post if you're interested.
I've been using it for the last couple of weeks, and I'm very impressed with the software. Adding content is easy, organizing it smooth, referencing other content is simple. But it wasn't until I sat down to plan an adventure that I realized how huge it will be. Once you have a data set, making links to stat blocks, rules references, new items, and character details is all just as simple. No copy and pasting, no book marks in 20 places in your monster reference. It lets you be more creative in less time. I can't recommend it until I see the player view functionality work, but so far it's awesome.
I'm planning a very space western style campaign in a tiny little subsector on the edge of the galaxy. I arbitrarily called it a subsector. Added 5 clusters of stars as categories of the subsector, mainly as a navigation aid to the players (Easier to start only having to understand the rough relative position of the 5 clusters than the whole array of systems). Then I added 5 systems to each cluster. I'm planning on detailing 1 system in cluster as a settlement, and 1 as some other interesting port of call... Mining operations, research facilities, strongholds... the other systems I'll leave blank until me or the players needs a new system. Since each level of organization can be toggled, I can see just the levels I want to see. The arbitrary levels of organization allowed by their container system provides enough to keep things organized, but fails to force you into a scheme you might not want. Once I get 25 systems, I'll pull out a mapping program and generate a map for it, export that to a png and then import the result into RW. Add some smart map goodness and we have a place to play in.
Organizations and people can be organized similarly, i'm using Knowledge skills (Core, Frontier, Underworld...) as an additional snippet on the person's summary to indicate which is most appropriate for. I haven't done anything with items yet, but i can't imagine they'd drop the ball there.
I just started using RW, switching over from the Keep. How have other people set up the stats in RW? I would love a Hero Labs dataset but that probably won't happen anytimebsoon. It seems like once I have all of my data and snippets it will be amazing. I like the idea if knowledge skill snippets. I also want to play around with how to put "the list" as an adventure template.

Sounds very interesting. Keep us updated.
Any mention of a tablet version?

Wow, thanks for the feedback, anithri! Sounds like exactly what I was hoping for, and that's without the cloud sharing! Once that's taken into account, and with support from EOTE GM's, this could be a really useful prep tool...

Good question... I doubt there's any plans to implement EOTE stats to their products. Let the dev team know you want to see this: Hero Labs forum post

Question 7 on their Kickstarter FAQ asks this question, and the answer is:
" Tablet support is planned for Realm Works. However, we do not yet have an estimate as to which tablet platforms will be targeted or when tablet support will become available."
Edited by 9littlebeesAncient thread I know, but how has this gone for you?
I am curious about it and it looks rad. Do all my players have to buy their own licenses in order to see the stuff I make visible to them? Is it on ipad or only laptops/pcs/tvs?
Feedback after using it for a while?
Realmworks just had a major update that I've not had a chance to look at just yet. It has a player interface now, but I've not had a chance to see how it worked.
I am very interested in the cloud capabilities of Realmworks for creating a larger-than-any-one-of-us-can-handle resource for EotE and AoR...
Does it include something like a discussion forums? Me and my players are currently using a forum (not unlike the one here) where we arrange new games, discuss things in and out of character etc.. Problem is that the forum is very often down, and we're looking for something new.
How difficult would it be to add a forum functionality to this? Something accessible also via mobile devices?

If you want a shared repository and the ability to create a private forum, set up a wiki (i.e. wikidot or wikispaces). It's relatively easy to do, and free.
Have a look at a quick wiki I threw together for an old D&D4 campaign, including a self-built forum:

Skie, have you looked at Obsidian Portal?
Skie, have you looked at Obsidian Portal?
Absolutely right. Obsidian Portal was mentioned in posts 4 & 5, and I actually prefer it in practice (though not in theory) to a wiki, since it is so easy to use. With a wiki you're not constrained to how many pages you create (could create and organise separate entries for items, NPCs, locations, history, whatever you want) whereas Obsidian Portal can't be adapted. If a forum is mainly what you're after, Obsidian Portal will get you running fairly quickly, with a lot of good stuff besides.
I used Obsidian Portal for an EOTE campaign. Until I realised my players weren't looking at it. :-P
I've found it pretty easy in my Obsidian Portal to create and organize separate entries for items, NPCs, locations and history.
What kind of challenges did you run into when doing this?
I'm just getting started with it, but I used to write up a bunch of notes that I'd print out and put in a binder before each session.
Last night I ran my first session with notes I made in an Obsidian Portal file, with just an iPad at the table, no binder at all. It worked great, I was able to click through to the notes I made of stats for enemies or vehicles, and keep my session outline where I could easily refer to it.

One of the main reasons I haven't tried using O.P. -- no one in my player-base consults these things. Hence, I've stuck with the old reliable 3-ring-binder.

I'm in the same boat as far as player engagement, however I just personally really like being able to link back and forth between things easily, search for things, and just have the whole of my wiki at my fingertips.
I also definitely don't miss printing out dozens of pages before each session when all I need do is pull them up on the iPad.
