I've been lurking around these forums for a good bit. There's so much good info on these boards and I want to thank you guys for putting it out there. I've been reading and trying to absorb as much info as you guys have been putting on here. I even started "not" listening to the Order 66 podcast and until now, I've never listened to a single podcast on anything.
I discovered this game about a month before the Corebook came out and decided I wanted to try it out. I got the beginner game and got some friends together and we dove in. This is my first time GMing anything. It fits my style in that it's not very rules heavy and it's more about the story than anything else. And ALL of my players minus my son are GM's of White Wolf, Pathfinder/D&D and various other games. I've certainly stumbled but we're all having fun and that's what matters most. I also learned Major Rule #1. Do Not put a major NPC of ANY importance within firing range of a PC. I bet Han is still fixing the Falcon somewhere.
I've only gotten to play as a player once and that was at Gencon with one of the designers of the game. I wish I could remember her name. It was honestly some of the most fun I've ever had in a tabletop adventure. I'm gearing up to run that same adventure for my players the next time I run, but luckily one of my players and I have been talking and he's gonna take over for a bit so I can get some actual PC playtime in.
tl;dr
I'm new, this game rocks, this forum rocks and the insane amount of stuff you guys have created definitely rocks!
