IG-88

By Klasmars, in X-Wing

IG-2000 has a lenght of 20 meters

A YT-1300 has a lenght of 26 meters

... put the IG-2000 on a large base I'd say

"You want me to describe the inside of IG-2000? It's cold and metal and a little bit of evil. Just like its pilot."

And it has a tractor beam!

I see 1 or maybe 2 System upgrade slots

a cannon slot

a crew slot?

Attack: 2 forward arc only

Defence: 2 or 3

Hull?

Shields?

The package comes with:

Tractor Beam Upgrade Card (system upgrade)

Magnetic Mandibles (System upgrade - IG-2000 only)

Maneuvering Thrusters (Modification) x 2

No crew slot, I would say. Because it can't do the same maneuvers with a living crew and making 2 statlines one for with and one without crew would be a bit silly.

Yay but it got a prison ... and thinking about the rebel captive card it gave me the idea of a crew slot...

A droid slot then?

The IG-2000 had several droids aboard:

4 Assault droids and a medical droid ...

the medical droid to thread injured prisoners

How about if the IG-2000 could capture enemy crew members!!! :D

This ship is 20 meters long, where as the falcon is 36 meters long.

I think this ship, the skipray blastboat, and the assault gunboat would be perfect lead ins for a 15mm base size.

I really want IG-88 to show up. I think the ship should go on a large base, but maybe not. The HWK kinda changed my view on that.

I like the ideas here. Tractor beams, no stress (but also no focus, nice balance), and imp droid. These are all good.

IG-88 would be an awesome addition, so would Hounds Tooth (although the scale of that ship might be a problem).

Turret for this ship?

IG-2000 reminds me of a toenail cutter thou

15mm... that's under half the size of the small bases, you sure you don't mean 60mm?

No turret for the IG-2000

...

Lets see what base would fit best.

According to Wookiepedia AND Jedipedia the ship is 20m long.

20m / 270 = 7,4 cm

So it fits the large base almost exactly.

I would say: the Imperium got its next big ship!

I think I would rather have a Skipray... the IG-2000 looks a bit icky, and not terribly Star Wars.

Like this topic, since my parent gave the the toy when i was a child I loved IG-88, but i didn't know that there were four of them... amazing... :)

Turret for this ship?

No not on this one. It has a pair of forward cannons and a tractor beam.

According to Wookiepedia AND Jedipedia the ship is 20m long.

Did we figure out the Falcon's length yet?

I have been looking up Star Blazers ship models...so I have not done a full search on our length discrepancy...Ha!

THE Rodent will know.

^_^

Say Ratt how big is the Falcon?

I quiet like the look of Dengar's ship, the Punishing One. That's around the 20 metre mark and looks quiet 'Star Wars-y'.

On the topic of IG-88, it would be quiet cool to run a 4x IG-2000 fleet, each one piloted by a different IG-88 droid! :D

Did we figure out the Falcon's length yet?

According to Starwars.com it's 34.75m long. The shorter value comes from a WEG RPG book. I'd say that given FFG's dedication to keeping things to scale, and comparing it to the Firespray, the 34.75m lenth seems correct.

Cool then. The reason I am wanting to be sure of this is because I have been using the actual FFG Model to compare with other fancy models I want to add to the game world, like my super Pirates and the micro machines version of the I.G. 2000 we have been talking about here.

How about this stats for the IG-2000:

Large Base

Attack: 2 (forward arc only)

Defence: 2 (i think a 3 is too high for a large ship)

Hull: 4

Shields: 6

Slots: Cannon, System Upgrade, System Upgrade, Droid

Actions: TL, evade, BR

No red manoeuvres on the dial, sharp turns and K-Turns are white

...

more to come

Large Base

At 20m it could go on either one. The HWK-290 is 16.5m, and it's on the small base, but maybe that's the biggest ship you want to put on one.

Nevermind IG-88... When are we going to see this guy make an appearance? ;)

Bossk_-_SWG_TCG.jpg

Like a Bossk!

What would be the difference between he four IG88 models, as far as the game goes?

How about just reading post #20

Yup. saw that. I'm interested in other people's ideas that might be tailored to the abilities of droid pilots.

Wookie says that the Lambda shuttle is 20m long. So, maybe a big base?

My little house rule is to put any ship that is 2.5 inches or longer on a big base. It looks right to me. So the Hawk is the largest ship to go on a small base, as of this post. I have several ideas for Medium ships so I got this issue squared away neat in my head about a month ago, after I started writing up my Pirate fleet list.

There really does need to be a Pirate or Black Sun faction. I want to see a Star Viper pretty bad.
