Box for cards

By Radish, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hey! I'm trying to organize all my Descent stuff as after three expansions it's getting a little cluttered; I had an old acrylic box for trading cards which worked great for the game's standard cards. Similar to this http://www.amazon.com/US-Acrylic-LLC-1609-All-Purpose/dp/B00017UT3U

However the little ones are more difficult. As the mini 41x63 mm sized ones are less prevalent I couldn't find an obvious way to hold them. Does anyone have any ideas for that?

I put the minis in an acrylic Ultra-Pro card box made for the larger ones. As the mini cards' length is the same as the larger ones' wide side, they fit well.

However, when sleeved, cards are a little tight in the boxes - but nothing dramatical.

I found some sweet boxes as a local Michael's craft store. They came in two different sizes that fit the small and large playing cards perfectly. Also, what I like about them is the boxes are very sturdy, and the top has a hidden magnet that keeps the boxes closed.

I bought three of each size, but currently all small and large cards fit in one.

Also, the cost might seem a bit steep, but when I purchased them they were at 40% off, and I had a coupon for an additional 10%.

I love these things.

I play a lot of board games, and I buy a lot of sleeves. FFG now owns Dragon Shield sleeves, which are just fantastic, but sadly do not fit Descent cards.

However, Dragon Shield sleeves do come in really nifty cardboard boxes, which can be cut into trays that perfectly hold sleeved mini cards. Here's a picture:

also bought a tool box to store all the pieces in aswell saves lugging around all the boxes. got a few of the multi slot boxes to store all the monsters and tokens minus the large monsters. just need to find something for the cards

I've started using jewelry bags. They fit each class deck beautifully. I also use them to hold the hexer tokens etc and a little baggie of condition cards for each player and hero tokens. When we set up each player just needs to grab a bag of each. I have a big ziploc bag of hero stuff and an OL bag, tiles divided by number into ziplocs so they're easy to find, and it all goes in a big tupperware container for easy transportation (our game tends to travel). It works well for us.

As an aside, it was super interesting to see other systems of storage!

I found a nice craft/tool box at jo-ann's fabric, but I see them at other craft stores sometimes as well. We keep the bags that everything comes in and stick the wee cards in them as well as wee monsters (not both in the same bag. Goblins really hate those condition cards). After sleeving the cards (the ones FFG produces for that nice, firm fit I love) we put a rubber band around them and toss all the cards into a section of the box. It works great! Very portable as well, since we play this game just about anywhere.

I use a large fish tackle box I purchased from WalMart. Ran around $38 on sale - kinda pricey, but it fits everything (all expansions so far) with room to spare. Everything but the minis are all in one box.

Thanks for the replies guys! Gives me a bunch of options.
