Although that probably doesn't matter when Spike is better than silly attack-string strategies anyway.

My concern is, that great-but-balanced cards just won't be good enough to dethrone the 4-7 attack strategies (whether it be Feline Spike, Spinta lock, or various loops) that have dominated recent regionals as the best competitive options. They're certainly not going to print anything more powerful than the mistakes that created this situation, so unless they seriously made an onslaught of Tsabo's Webs, (cards/abilities that are blatantly and obviously made to counter one specific overpowered card, solely to justify not banning it - see the E on Midnight Launcher, or Greed's Influence) I just don't see why the reigning strategies would be abandoned for any reason besides wanting to play the shiny new cards and/or have more fun, things that won't really mean much for those primarily aiming to win. I'm well aware that this is being said without seeing much of the set or any tournament results, just having a hard time believing it's not inevitable for things to remain as they are.

This

There IS a possibility that there are a flurry of cards akin to Mortal Strike and Destiny that may possibly shut down or lessen the importance of Feline Spike, Defender, Spinta, BRT, etc etc etc.

However, as I'd mentioned, cards that can be ran in 4s are MUCH harder to counter than 1 character (notably: *Yun-Seong*). While I'm assuming they had this in mind when they didn't ban anything this month, they have to understand that your point is valid: today's competitive options are a bit of a mixed bag, but for all intents and purposes, the cards you mentioned overshadow most other competitive options, and that a lot of decks focus on using a character with a big handsize, and enough control to backup your win strategy.

You're right; set 12 looks like it's going to have a flurry of cards that will FINALLY bring back big attack strings! However, such a win strategy is hard to appreciate when Feline Spike creates its own attack string, and when cards like Battle Prowess and Rejection make blocking unimportant. (and with pretty much the only blocking support being in All and Chaos)

cloud: BFD took his links down because FFG explicitly didn't want those cards spoiled. Please remove them...

how do i take it off?

Isn't there pre-releses today? If what Steve said is true, then they arent spoilers but now public knowledge. And also....ooh shiny, but hopfully not to shiney lol.

Cloud: copy/paste the link for "Report to Moderator" on the post, and then change "reportar" in the url to "editar." Pretty sure that's how it works.

Bloodocean: True, but for the sake of being on the safe side and all... I don't know if there are any stores actually doing the prerelease any earlier than thursday anyway.

did that didnt do anything
