I am more than happy to be wrong in this case. This means i can actually get cards outside of pre releases.
Spoilers
Pre-release is next week, and I've heard that Tira is really good.

It is highly unlikely they will get any rights to star wars (assuming they even wanted it), seeing as how they forgot to get the license for Soul Calibur 4 in the UK and Europe (we're getting prereleases, and then thats about it). One more good point about Shadowar... at least that wont happen.
You shouldn't listen to gossip, SC IV will be able in the UK and Europe, so no need to panic.
If anybody does have any concerns regarding UFS in the UK please contact me rather than just guessing.
Thankyou for putting that straight
Out of curiousity, which shop was it that said that?
Mark
Well, for anyone who's interested: check out the FFG shop. The Shadowar and SC stuff is up.
Apparently the starter box toppers are characters - Padma (SW) and Cassandra (SC). Padma appears to have a 7 handsize.
The other two regular box toppers are foundations, btw.

Commence SNAKE BLING THROWING.
Starter box toppers as characters is a really good idea actually...
Foundations for box toppers is consistent and with pre-release events and such, a playset of said toppers is usually fairly easily acquired.
- dut (busy catching snakes - can't wait to see that character!!!)
Two new cards spoiled on the main site - I think Heel Snipe just got a little bit better...
I like both cards, good but balanced as has been pretty much everything spoiled so far. Even though Pommel Smash only does 1 damage, in a way that's a good thing because it means it's probably a guaranteed momentum. (who would waste a high block on it?) Not that momentum from attacks is relevant so long as LotM is around, but you know. Eagle Talon should be nice for Good decks with Snipe, as mentioned above. Although that probably doesn't matter when Spike is better than silly attack-string strategies anyway. But Good does have Spinning Beat, so maybe not? Probably just wishful thinking.
Honestly, I need someone to talk me down here. Obviously, seeing the full set and being patient for tournament results is in order, but regardless, I'm feeling kinda depressed about the prospects of the post-set 12 meta right now. I mean, set 12, from all indications, looks like it will be an amazing set, full of cards that are interesting or powerful without pushing the envelope way too far. My concern is, that great-but-balanced cards just won't be good enough to dethrone the 4-7 attack strategies (whether it be Feline Spike, Spinta lock, or various loops) that have dominated recent regionals as the best competitive options. They're certainly not going to print anything more powerful than the mistakes that created this situation, so unless they seriously made an onslaught of Tsabo's Webs, (cards/abilities that are blatantly and obviously made to counter one specific overpowered card, solely to justify not banning it - see the E on Midnight Launcher, or Greed's Influence) I just don't see why the reigning strategies would be abandoned for any reason besides wanting to play the shiny new cards and/or have more fun, things that won't really mean much for those primarily aiming to win. I'm well aware that this is being said without seeing much of the set or any tournament results, just having a hard time believing it's not inevitable for things to remain as they are.
Dude we have seen like what? 6-8 Cards. There are still 280 cards left that you have yet to see.
I know, I already said I'm aware of that. What I'm saying is, that because James knows what he's doing, we can be pretty sure even without seeing the set that there aren't going to be any of those "they never should have printed anything this powerful" cards. This is a Very Good Thing.
However, I am concerned because, let's face it - if you're trying to win, would you rather build your deck around 'great, but balanced' cards, or 'so great, it really shouldn't have been made' cards? It's hard for me to imagine the more competetive players going for 12-16 attack strategies based around the better new but fair cards, when they can just continue on with their Spiking and looping and Spinta-locking, things that give the advantage of only needing 4-7 attacks in the deck. Unless, as I mentioned, there's just a bevy of blatantly specific "answer" cards, which would be really cheesy even if it did work better than the Greed's Influence experiment turned out.
It's all pretty much a moot argument as we'll be finding out over the next couple of weeks regardless, I'm just saying that the apparent likelihood that this will be the case is casting a bit of a shadow over the release for me, when I want to be absolutely giddy and not just really happy about it

So we also know the symbols on Astrid and Hilde.
Presuming that boh Eagle Talon and Pommel Smash are Uncommon, why does one have 'U' at the bottom and the other has 'UC' at the bottom? Or am I not reading that correctly?
Also, Cassandra is the starter deck topper. Sweet.
MORE..... NOW....
I need more spoilers, and I need them yesterday. When do you think we will get a full set list of both sets? How long will that take before its posted online somewhere?
I can only afford to get 2 boxes of either starters or packs, and I want to see which sets have more stuff for my current decks.

Go for Starter boxes. Extra characters, a playset of every uncommon and common (or at least near that), so anything you need out of that set can be gotten later on.
Anyone know what's up with having he dots under the characters? Frex Cassandra is the box topper for the SCIV starters, but she has one dot under her name rather then X dots on either end.
This strikes me as a horrible idea to be honest... It's going to make it so much harder to clearly designate which character I'm talking about...
EG Original One Dot Cassie vs. New One Dot Cassie
Was there a reason for the change? I can't see anything that's added by trying to change the naming conventions; otoh it does cause confusion which is never a good thing.
Explanation please!
SCIV is a brand new lisence, so in a way its a new char. Along with Cassandra the rest of the Chars outside of Hilde and Algol will have two one dot versions.
I can has more spoilers? I've only seen 4 cards... where are these other cards you speak off...
Pics or it didn't happen...
You mean these?
