In the beginner game, Aim is listed among the maneuvers available to starfighter pilots and to gunners, yet I don't see it listed in the CRB anywhere in the Starships and Vehicles Chapter. Is this an error in the beginner game or is it omitted because it is considered a "personal maneuver" like mounting a gun turret?
Aiming in space/vehicle combat
The book states most logical foot maneuvers can be performed on a ship. However, I would use the stay on target maneuver as aiming
Stay on Target is a Pilot only manoeuvre.
Aim should certainly be usable in Space/vehicle combat. It might not be in the specific chapter, but I'm pretty sure it's either mentioned or taken for granted that it should be possible to use it. The devs have mentioned it in interviews when talking about vehicle/space combat, I'm almost certain of that.
I am pretty sure it is mentioned in the ship combat chapter that any maneuver or action from personal combat can be used in ship combat - as long as it makes sense.
I allowed the gunners on the Krayt Fang to take one (or two with strain) maneuvers to aim before firing the cannons as an action.
I definitely remember the rulebook stating somewhere that gunners can use the aim maneuver. I let my players use it, no problem.
RAW: "...characters are assumed to be able to perform any personal maneuvers such as dropping prone, managing gear, or interacting with the environment.... This also includes maneuvers such as aiming, since a character can aim with a quad laser turret just as he can aim with a blaster rifle." -pg. 232

Thanks

Yeah, we missed that when we did space combat the first time. It wasn't called out in the specific list of maneuvers, so the other gunner and I didn't even think about it until two or three rounds in. Neither of us had any ranks in gunnery so that boost die really came in handy once we asked.
