Goldilocks and the Three Bears

By Englishpete, in X-Wing

We have a potential tournament in 2 weeks and I am thinking of flying this set up.

It has hitting power, plenty of damage absorption and the annoyance of the Ion Cannon.

It moves together and no one ship is handicapped by having to move slowly so as not to break formation.

I debated FCS vs AS and came down on FCS just for the extra hits it usually generates.

If you have the cards, give the BSP advanced sensors instead of FCS and the one with a proton torp. Way more flexible, but that is just my experience. Taking actions before hitting something is really powerful. I am going to start with a 3 ship rebel build soon to play around with advanced sensors.

I'm glad to see that you debated it, but I really prefer the Advanced Sensors overall. Never losing an action to a Red Maneuver, Barrel Rolling before moving to avoid collisions and/or asteroids...It's just a phenomenal upgrade. I love taking B-Wings and playing tag with all the Koiograns in the world :D

But then you'd have a 99 point fleet :(

...But there is 1 more bit of potential, here. With 3 B-Wings, you could do one ship with each System =D

But yeah, what you've got works as well. I'd put the Torps on Goldilocks instead, so she's got something to do at Range 3, and it keeps your B-Wings even.

I liked the torps on a B with FCS for that TL and Focus shot. I like Advanced Sensors as well, but I've found that moving first and shooting last with PS 2, FCS gets me more kills vs being hit less.

On the higher PS B's, totally agree AS is king.
