Just trying to get a feel for what kind of squads faired well and whether any were similar to what I've been testing.

Here's Neil's build, I know this because I played him in round 5. Whoever won made the cut and it was the most ridiculous match ever, probably the closest match I've ever played.

No falcons? Crazy. I'm happy to see that wave 1 made a strong showing. I would like to see more interceptors on both sides though.

It is disappointing to not see any TIE Interceptors in there. Hope to see some videos online soon.

There were a couple of Han Shoots First lists in the top 16 (Picasso and the Spanish National Champion).

The last top 8 was Ivan, from Spain. He was running HSF: Han w/ Gunner and Marks, and 2 Rookies.

well 1 falcon but not a single Firespray.

There were some interceptors in the tournament, but personally I don't like their cost / hull and when you load up someone like Soontir he makes himself a big target. For that cost you could have almost 3 Academy Pilots so 3 times the hull and twice the dice.

If you count the ORS, Aaron had two in the top 16.

I can't wait to fly the new Aerial Ace pack though! As a TIE Interceptor Pilot I'm greatly looking forward to the release! Maybe next year we'll see them in the top!

So no lambda, hwk, awing, interceptors, advanced or firespray In the top 8 builds all which were fairly different

As would I. I love the two as ships, they just lack a certain something to make them viable. I like the ship-specific modifications that are coming with the new Interceptors, and hope something like that can come out for other ships too.

pretty interesting squad. obviously worked well for him. is this an anti-swarm squad? lots of hull and decent firepower with rookies + B-Wing. wonder how he used his Y-Wings? blockers and up close offense?

also cool to see a bomber squad make top8. wonder how many bomber squads were there? any others in top16? im a little surprised there are no proton bombs, just a single seismic charge.

I was close with a shuttle, 4-1 and 21st. 98 point swarm 2x AP, Omicron w/ vader, obsidian, backstabber, howl w/ ptl

Only HWK that I saw at worlds was in a squad with Ten, Wedge and Kyle. Worked alright, think it was a little low on hit points though, I killed Wedge first then Kyle then Ten. He got half my squad but it just didn't stay around long enough. Not sure how the lists owner did overall.

They are just too fragile for their cost, and a lot of the top tier lists can always get a bead on them. Interested to see if Imperial Aces will mix it up a bit.

I'm hoping they do something similar with the B-wing

to what they did with the Interceptor Aces,

perhaps the double cockpit of the B-wing/E.

In any case that was some amazing maneuvering between TIEs!
