This was my first real experience at a convention of any type. It will undoubtedly not be my last. I had a fantastic time, and down to a person, everyone was really great! I guess I was a little surprised that despite that intense level of competition, everyone really was incredibly friendly.

I'll end up writing a full breakdown over at Mognation.com and will edit the link into here later, but I wanted to post this as soon as I could because I really had such a good time. I ended up going 1-2 in the tourney and had to leave for a wedding (my wife literally threatened my life on the phone). It was a great experience.

This was my first real experience at a convention of any type as well. I enjoyed every minute of it, everyone was super friendly and everyone's opinion was valued, even with people wanting to win, people played with great sportsmanship.

The right people can make any con cool.

lol. no. It was not MY wedding, but my wife still more or less dragged me out of there. She actually showed up, had a beer, and watched a bit. Thank god they served beer.

It seriously was such a great time that I'm looking for tournaments everywhere.
