I posted this over on BGG, but I thought I'd put it here too. This mission has dual versions - and can be run with either faction. Thus, instead of giving points by faction title, the two sides for this battle will be labelled "Attackers and Defenders."
Scenario Background.
Imperial Aggression:
(Imperials as Attackers)
3 Tie-bombers carrying Advanced Proton Torpedoes make their way to destroy a rebel supply depot and communications facility. They must first pass through the rebel fighter screen. The Depot and Com facility must be destroyed before rebel reinforcements arrive to evacuate the facility.
Rebel Assault:
(Rebels as Attackers)
3 y-wings make their way to a disabled imperial star destroyer. The battle rages around them, their fighter escort must help them break through the few imperial fighters that have noticed their assault vector. The ISD must be destroyed before it's systems become operational and sends out it's complement of fighters, assuring rebel defeat.
Points & special rules
(Recommended to play on a larger table size and use asteroids or increase the defenders starting point total if on a small table)
Attackers: 100 points + 3 bombers
(gold squad y-wings if rebel, scimitar squad tie-bombers if imperial)
The Bombers are considered to be equipped with 2 Adv Torps each - they may be expended per standard rules. These bombers may not be upgraded in any way, and their points do not count towards the attackers 100 point limit.
Fighter reinforcements. (During the end phase, a single fighter of the same ship type, with no upgrades and the cheapest point cost pilot may be placed upon the attackers edge for any destroyed attacking ship (Limit 1 ship per turn)) - There are no bomber reinforcements.
Attacker's Edge. Up to Range 1 from the edge, the three bombers must all be within range 1 of eachother. The Bombers are placed first, before normal ship deployment.
Defenders: 120 points
Fighter reinforcements. (during the end phase, a single fighter of the same ship type, with no upgrades and the Cheapest point cost pilot may be placed upon the defenders edge for each defending ship destroyed. (Limit 2 per turn)
Defender's Edge. Up to Range 2 from the edge opposite the Attacker's Edge.
Victory
Conditions
Attacker
Full Victory: All 3 bombers and their full ordnance exit the play area via the Defender's Side
Partial Victory: At least 1 bomber and ships carrying a total of 3 Advanced Proton Torpedoes exit the play area via the Defender's Side
*The attacker may send further ships carrying Adv Proton Torpedoes to increase his chances of success - but at least one of the original Bomber Group must exit the play area via the Defender's Side to declare victory.
Defender
Full victory: All attacking bombers are destroyed.
Partial victory: no more than 2 Adv Proton Torpedoes exit the play area via the Defender's Side.
**The Mission ends when all 3 of the bombers have left the play area.
(Alternatively, players may add a turn limit or time limit, representing time to the arrival of rebel reinforcements or repairs to the ISD's Ion Damage)
Victory Point Alternative
Attacker scores 2 victory points for each bomber and one victory point for each Advanced Proton Torpedo to exit the play area via the defender's Side
Defender scores 4 victory points for each bomber destroyed and one victory point for each additional advanced torpedo destroyed with an attackers ship.
When the mission ends, victory points are tallied, the winner is the player who received more victory points.
