100 point Rebel Fleet

So, a league member wants some help building his 100 point fleet, and I wanted to get some of your opinions.

He has:

1 A-Wing

3 B-Wing

1 Y-Wing
3 X-Wing

2 Hwk-290

2 YT-1300

And we can borrow upgrade cards from others in the league.

With that many options, I'd want to know the player's preferences. Do they like the idea of playing lots of ships? Do they want a couple of tricked-out ships? Do they like the idea of a squad built around a YT-1300, or around Wedge, or around something else? Do they want a simple tactic (go and shoot them) or something more complex (exchanging Target Locks and focus tokens, etc.)?

To really get started with this, I would ask the player to build a 100-point squad -- just to have something to start with -- and then see what can be done to improve their choices.

So far, he has run:

2 YT-1300s with Gunner

Garven, Kyle, and Ibtisam

Roark and 2x Blue with HLC

He had some trouble remembering to plot the action chain with Garven, Kyle, and Ibtisam effectively. He tends to play when tired, as our league starts at 9:30 pm, and his work shift starts at 5:30 am, so something that is fairly Pilot-Error-proof is better.

That's a little bit of everything. :)

Maybe a Han Shot First. Straightforward tactics, not a lot of fancy abilities, and competitive.
