Can I use Rock Crush after I block an attack with Mysterious Stance? More importantly (since I know that I can use it) would it have any effect, or would it not do anything because there isn't a block modifier?

But Rock Crush wasn't used to block the attack, just respond to pump the damage of the next attack. Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant that the attack was blocked with Mysterious Stance.

Rock crush is looking for the difficulty on the "CARD you played as a block". You did not play mysterious stance as a block, you used it as an abilitiy, Thusly it is not a card played as a block and cannot trigger rock crush.

and what if you play a block with using ranged text. there is no block modifier so no damage pump?

or if you have floating text, say a samurais life. the game doesnt remember what card was there thus no block modifier and no damage pump?

There is a block effect generated by Mysterious Stance. That's the equivilant of playing a block card.

A Ranged attack would have a block modifier of 0. Because it is "played as a..."

A Samurai's life looked for the card you blocked with, not the block modifier.

In regards to Rock Crush, after A Samurai's Life triggered - the block effect and the card played are remembered. Rock Crush does not state "while they are in your card pool."

point being samurais life takes effect before you can play rock crush, thus there being no card to reference.

rock crush says the block modifier of the card you played as a block:

with a card with the ranged ability text, that doesnt have its own block modifier, can be played. when it goes to reference the block modifier of the card it sees nothing(undefined) and the equation its used in becomes invalid.

with samurais life the card its referencing is not there anymore, and like how i saw drifter ruled, the game doesnt remember so its an undefined value.

Rock Crush won't work with Mysterious Stance because the wording doesn't quite support it. Rock Crush is looking specifically for a "card played as a block", which Mysterious Stance doesn't do - what's played is an Enhance, even though it results in a block effect. Sorry this wasn't caught right away.
