360 Turret

This is incorrect. When you execute a 1-white straight maneuver under the effects of Ion, you are instructed to remove ALL Ion tokens on your ship, regardless of how many there are.

I never realized this. This has only ever happened to me once, and I just assumed the guy I was playing with knew the rule so I didn't think twice about it. Thanks for clarifying!

I wish it worked like this, but I imagine that it was due to not gang banging ion tokens onto one ship in one turn and moving onto other targets while it slowly drifted towards the table edge for 4 turns.

Yeah, this list won't be able to focus fire anything really. Though with the B wing in there, it could still put on some serious hurt on a ship each turn. I keep coming back to the ORS though. I just feel in my gut that it would be a better ship to round out this list. And I've never been a fan of the ORS before - actually never flown it as I couldn't really justify it over an X wing or something else.

*shrug. I'll try em both out tonight and see which one works better. I feel like the B wing is going to end up getting dead too quick to be much of a threat. But it's not like a B wing is squishy. So it might work.

Is there a certain Imperial list you wish to test this against? I think i can field almost any Imperial list around short of lists with more than 2 Bombers.

At present, i was debating running either a swarm or Dual Firespray this evening.

I love Y-wings, and I love turret weapons. I went undefeated in my last tournament running:

Gold Squadron + R2 + Ion Cannon Turret

Gold Squadron + R2 + Ion Cannon Turret

Gold Squadron + R2 + Ion Cannon Turret

Dutch Vander + Ion Cannon Turret

Total: 100 points

I know I am crazy, but the list I'd like to run at my next tournament is:

Gold Squadron + R2 + Advanced Proton Torpedoes

Gold Squadron + R2 + Advanced Proton Torpedoes

Gold Squadron + R2 + Advanced Proton Torpedoes

Gold Squadron + R2 + Advanced Proton Torpedoes

TOTAL: 100 points

Round one move up slowly. Round 2 move up slowly and target lock. Round three, focus and FIRE! It's all in the alpha strike, but I have a chance to kill 4 enemy starfighters in one round of shooting with this list. It should work well against rebel lists or imperial ones with low ship counts. Will likely struggle against TIE swarm, but most things do. I just have to try it. :)
