When rolling for stats in character creation it says to roll a 2d10, I was confused on how to read the die because this couldnt possibly mean that my noob character could get 70's and 80's on his rolls not including the home world modifires. I thought the highest you could get was a 20.

please help me figure this out

Core Book Page 9 in the box labeled Reading and Rolling the Dice

it means you roll 2 D10s and just add them together. So you will get a number between 2 and 20 and then add the home world bonuses to that.

If you're using percentile dice and not straight d10's simply read the first number on each dice and add those together. 10's count as 1's and 00's count as 10. 20+90=11 + your base homeworld stat, eg imperial 11+20= 31.
