Thanks for the compliments. I never thought of painting the bases till me and my gf were playing and both using my green repaints... Paing the base sides made playing easier and looks cool.

I like the concept, and the execution (was thinking something similar, just havn't done it yet). Only suggestion is to give the Y-Wing a little more love, seems a little mono-tone with the tan back and green fronts, seems like it just lacks something. Otherwise great repaints!

I agree. Green and black are always a nice combination.

I can't say I'm big on the purple accents, but hey, that's just my opinion. As for the actual painting quality, everything looks quite good.

Hmm I'll see what I can do with the y wing... It does have some purple on the underbody. Maybe a colored r2 unit. Or some stripes

If you break up the green with some white, it will do wonders for the Y-wing. Try painting a bull's eye on each nacelle dome by painting progressively smaller circles of green and white. I plan on doing the same thing with red and yellow when I get my second Y.

If you want to erase some of the prepainted panels on the X- and A-wings, Camouflage Gray is almost identical to the light gray color used by the factory, and after a wash you won't be able to tell the difference.

What company makes camouflage grey?

If I'm not mistaken he's referring to the Testor's color.
