Okay. I looked. Can anyone give me a difinitive answer? How large were the escape pods on the Tantative IV? I want to make one, or six.
Thanks in advance.

Why make them? get some micro-machines escape pods.

I still have not used my pods yet for their intended scenario: I intend to try them out in two different formats:
1) Alter "The Redeemer" scenario to "Those are the droids we're looking for!". Play the scenario as normal but upon CR-90 being disabled, the pods launch (random distance and scatter). Both sides must then recover the correct pod, but it could be any one of three determined randomly upon capture.
2) Rescue mission. Pods are adrift in dense asteroid field. Both sides are hunting for their objectives (droids, VIP's, etc..). Correct pod is determined randomly again upon capture. Both sides will have their correct objective determined randomly, so they may actually be after different pods! But they could end up after the same pod also. Mission goal would be to capture your objective while denying opponents objective.
In either case, a passenger capable vessel (HWK290, YT-1300, Firespray, Lamda) must either overlap or be within a movement 1 template of pod to perform a "retrieve action".
Players must retrieve objective and leave with it by their deployment side.
rewatching the movies, it got me thinking about escape pods too. While their use there was only short term and just a means to an end, you could also use them in an active role, at least in specific scenarios.
E.g. instead of just a passive mission objective, you could give them ship status and asign a pilot. Sure, it would be unarmed and have limited maneuverability (it would be interesting to incorporate the intial launch trajectory and speed into the movement rules, perhaps no sharp turns just banks and moving straight ahead on the original heading), but it would be interesting variation - giving R2D2 chance at a pilot slot, introducing an initial ship launched ship setup and offering pure to be defended ship role.
