B-Wing Repaint

By Englishpete, in X-Wing

We are playing in a campaign right now and I am about to transfer to a new ship with my pilot. A B-Wing. I repainted this one to be my personal ship. I am awaiting some transfers before she is completely finished, but wanted to share. The photos are a bit average, but I thinks she came out well.....

More yellow: bumble bee.

Oooh, the Bumble B-Wing.

Looks nice... :)

More Bee Wings! <3

I like it.

Very nice work.

Very simple. I like it.

Subtle but very nice.

First glance it looks ok, but after looking at if for more, it looks really nice.

I painted each panel individually with 4 thin layers to get the depth of colors. She is up for a subtle weathering next, that will shade the yellow down and add a slightly dirty feel to certain panels, then she gets squad transfers. Think WWII fighters and you'll get the idea.

I am currently reworking a HWK-290.

Which transfers are you going to do?

These, I think they make a great squadron :-)

The "War Hogs" :-)

I want them all to be Gamorrean pilots

I am also looking at some "danger" decals, similar to those seen on aircraft, and maybe kill markers if it doesn't look to crowded.

Do they float like a butterfly and sting like a bee? ;)

I had a B-wing in a SW:RPG game once, was painted with a shark mouth around the intakes, and had "On-nom-nom, TIE fighters, nom" scrawled just below the cockpit in big, friendly letters

Please let us know how the decals work out and post some pictures. If I can do nose art/pin up decals on some of mine I'll be thrilled. I'm looking at this site too so I'd really appreciate your thoughts on them once you've tried. =D

I'll post once I have applied them.
