Anyone ever run 2 bwings and a Hwk? Have the hwk hand out focus while the bwings do dall the damage, this will allow a bwing constantly keep a target lock's on your opponent.

Fire control systems do the same thing for several points cheaper. The left over points could also give you a ship that is worth its salt instead of an over blown, under powered token chucker.

I've run Kyle with the fully-equipped Moldy Crow alongside 2 Blue Sq. Pilots with Ion Cannon, Adv. Proton Torpedoes and Fire-control System. Didn't turn out so well. I had a hard time getting used to the B-wing dial. The idea was to ion a couple of targets at range 3, pick up Target Locks on those ships, watch them drift into range 1, then unleash the Proton Torpedoes. If for some reason one of the B-wings needed to Barrel Roll instead of Focus, Kyle could give him a Focus.

Instead I got my B-wings ionized in one match, and in another I misjudged my opponent's moves, and lost a B-wing before it even got to fire while the other B-wing was way off in right field trying to hurry to the rescue as fast as a B-wing can go (which isn't very fast). I think it's worth revisiting with some of the critiques I received (like using a Dagger), but it left a bad taste in my mouth regarding B-wings. I just need to get back on the horse and not give up on them...except there are so many other ships to try now!

Kyle isn't the HWK-290 I run alongside twin B-Wings. He belongs with Garven Dreis or "Dutch" Vander, in the Action-Trading squads.

If your B-Wings have Heavy Laser Cannons, Jan Ors turns one of those cannons into a 5-shooter every turn.
If your B-Wings are shooting for lots of damage, Roark Garnett turning them into a level 12 pilot really ups your survivability, by one-shotting enemy ships BEFORE they deal damage.
