Loose pilot placards?

By R22, in X-Wing

Anybody have suggestions on how to make the in-game pilot cards more stable atop the plastic miniature base? The FFG bases have raised borders but some, like the CorSec ones, are just the flat shape and template pegs. I'd like to use some of the secondary market ones that allow for raised ships etc. but, without the border guards, the ship card inserts spin around. Since the cards are themselves doublesided I can't do anything that would damage them. Thoughts?

Or a way of adding simple but effective guards?

It's especially important because the cards host the laser line of fire so obviously I can't have them moving back and forth.

My personal experience with the Corsec products has been phenomenal. Since it uses the omni stand system, there is a tiny o ring that sits on the card mount and allows very little movement, so your concern of them spinning around isn't too high. Modding the ships is kind of tedious, but I think it makes them more durable, adds some good weight and fixes some of the slant problems that ships have from the manufacturer (i.e. SLAVE I tilts left or right with the plastic bases)

I usually just use the little number things that come with every ship. I, too, have some cards that just fall right out when moving ships, but the numbers hold em in quite nicely.

Thanks guys. It turns out they forgot to send the donut rings that provide the tension for holding the cards in place so they just spun around. They're shipping them to me now though and I suspect that will solve the problem easily. Obviously without them I was kind of at a loss for how I'd be able to use them.
