Consider the following

you have an adonis in your hq, the runner runs r&d, they see adonis, don't trash it.

next turn, you draw that adonis

then the runner runs hq, they see a different art adonis in your hq, now they know you have 2. they wouldn't know this if you had identical art cards.

This is a really simple scenario where you are giving away information to your opponent where you don't have to.

if you're only running 1 or 2, you're fine. The problem isn't as severe on the runner side of the equation.

I LOVE the new alt art cards, I love winning them, having them and using them. so Great job on everything else about them.

If it's 3 each, that wouldn't make them half as special. I simply think it's not too much of a big deal. Big deal if they see you have 2 or 3 Adonis in your hand

Same for the other unique cards ... If you see someone running scorch earth, you better put down that carpace, because surely it isn't only one

some places, like my FLGS, get several game night kits (I think my store has over a dozen) and give them out as prizes in tourneys or leagues.

Why? Some stuff isn't worth hiding that furtively. So they know 2/5 of your hand isn't objectives and they don't have enough to trash the ones they've seen... how is that a bad thing? If you have that one agenda in hand, that actually works in your favor... unless you've got that opponent that goes "I'm just gonna run on your hand 4 times even if I can't trash or steal anything." and in that scenario, it doesn't really matter, does it? They're gonna run there, regardless.
