Scavenger's Feast - Begging for XP's new live play session

By Doc, the Weasel, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

The Begging for XP crew just posted a new live play podcast for the story, Scavenger's Feast.

This is the first part of what will be a 4–6 part adventure. The party travels to Bespin, transporting an industrialist (and his money) to meet with a visionary looking for investors. When things go wrong, they offer their help in exchange for a piece of the action. Unfortunately, an old rival is on the same trail and looking to take the score for themselves.

Here is the opening crawl.

It's a fun session with a lot of characterization (and some laughs).

You don't have to hear the previous story, Lost Sons, to enjoy this one.

Good gaming.

I'm pretty proud of this one we manged to to talk our way out of a fight. That very well may never happen again.

Very excited to see how this one unfolds.

really enjoyed the interaction between tana, doctor dev and the captain/crew of the golden do-dad (sorry forgot the name)

Captain Peart of the Golden Edge. It's funny because Ed lobbied hard to have a rival crew when we started, but it didn't really fit in. Then they go and screw with this guy's ship in the last adventure and we got it organically. Has more of that "it's personal" bite this way.

Part 2 is up.

The party does some legwork to find the location of the pirates’ base. When they find it, they realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

We just uploaded the plans to the players' ship, the Lazy Bantha. If anyone is interested in YT-2400 deck plans, then take a look.

I'll have Part 3 up later this week.

Part 3 is up.

After getting caught sneaking into a pirate hideout, the party starts to wonder what is really going on and what their next move is … once they fight their way out, that is.

I think you guys are going to like this one, the group is still finding ways to survive despite themselves.

Also it's part 3, part 4 (the conclusion) will be next week.

I really enjoyed Lost Sons....(and would love to hear you guys finish 'Buried but Not Forgotten'). You've got a solid crew and seem to be able to get most of them together fairly regularly. Also, there aren't many examples of recorded session for this system online (at least that I have found), so thank you...and keep doing what you are doing. Dustin is my favorite of the crew by far, I'd love to transplant him into my gaming group.

That being said, I still have an episode to catch up on for Lost Sons before I start in on this new story.

I'll be sure to post some of my thoughts when I do.

Thanks Brother Bart! For a small fee I’ll come to your gaming group, birthday party, wedding, or Bar Mitzvah. J

The fourth and final part of the story is up.

With little in the way of leads, the party tries to piece together where to go next. Not everything is as it seems, and the group has to reevaluate who their friends are.

This was a fun story to run. Next we'll be taking a short break from EotE and run a one-shot from Mouse Guard.

Good gaming!

Listened through part 3, you guys burned through these!

Any chance you will be revisiting the Warhammer World anytime soon? Good luck with Mouse Guard!

Thanks for listening. Warhammer is on the table for the next game after the holidays (so is EotE). We'll be deciding soon.
