I tried this with Soontir moving up the flank while ties supported Trelix. Anybody else mixed an interceptor with the firespray?

I like the interceptor/firespray idea, but built to support the firespray a bit more:
Soontir Fel (27) (35 total)
-PTL (3)
-Stealth (3)
-Royal Guard TIE (0)
-Targeting Computer (2)
Krassis Trelix (36) (43 total)
-HLC (7)
Captain Jonus (22)
Jonus flies around behind Krassis, plucking evade/focus tokens off his target and making Krassis reroll 3/4 of his dice with the HLC. Krassis, therefore, can focus every round, use it if he needs to to hit, or save it fore defense. Meanwhile, Soontir is flying around taking his picks of 2 out of any of the 5 possible actions each turn, with a free focus token to boot. He can TL/Focus/Boost for offense, Evade/Barrel Roll/Focus for defense, Boost/Barrel Roll/Focus for max repositioning, Tl/Focus/Focus for max offense... the list goes on.
I ran two naked bounty hunters and Soontir with ptl and stealth for awhile. It was my goto build, had a lot of success
Each ship comes in at 33pts also which gave me a wierd joy
Haven't used soontir with Krassis, I did play this lists:
Krassis Trelix — Firespray-31 36 Heavy Laser Cannon 7 Proton Bomb 5 Gunner 5 Saber Squadron Pilot — TIE Interceptor 21 Elusiveness 2 Saber Squadron Pilot — TIE Interceptor 21 Elusiveness 2
Against this:
Green Squadron Pilot — A-Wing 19 Push the Limit 3 Green Squadron Pilot — A-Wing 19 Push the Limit 3 Green Squadron Pilot — A-Wing 19 Push the Limit 3 Tycho Celchu — A-Wing 26 Push the Limit 3 Stealth Device 3
and summarily beat the living crap out of them. It was no contest really, poor flying on his part contributed. my interceptors kept him at bay while my krasis reroll machine took down 1 awing a turn with a few points of support fire from the interceptors.
Edited by RoughNeck20I tried Interceptors with Firesprays when wave 2 first came out. I hadn't yet discovered Soonter with push the limit. Back then I didn't really like the mix. It made the choice for who my opponent focused on too easy. Destroy 3 attack dice with three hits or destroy 3 attack dice with 10 hits. It seemed a no brainer.
That being said, I am much better at keeping Soonter alive with push the limit and shield upgrade.
Fel with stealth device has to be my favorite. Having four green dice is already great, but couple that with PtL to grab two evade tokens and you don't have to worry about getting shot.

Not sure if you meant to say two evade tokens but that is not possible.
The best you could do would be 1 evade and 2 focus
I've been playing against firespray (sometimes Trelix) + Soontir (PTL) + Turr (VI) for a few times and although it's a nice squad I find it less scary than a swarm+Howl+Soontir. it's also easier to defeat if yor 3 ships firing arcs cover as much field as possible...
I fly B+Wedge+ superLuke(R2D2+EU+PTL)
My friends and I usually run 200+ point games, and my firespray is always strait up the middle with bombers escorting. TIEs and Interceptors flank, and the Lambda hangs out behind the firespray, waiting to catch anyone who survives alpha strike. Since the Firespray is usually his focus, the bombers are left free to launch missiles/torps while the FS tanks. On the other side, the fighters and Ints take out usually an A/B-wing or two on the side, then come up and attack from behind.

Double evade huh
