I wanted to try this one, just because I want to use all of my rebels fighters at once.
This is another option for playing against swarms.
Any thoughts?

Both are solid fleets, to me. What are the pilot skills?
One of the only rebel builds I've played multiple times. A little different than mine (I downgrade to rookie and use a missile on Green squad and only one Ion Cannon). Mine had everyone shooting at 2 except the green squad I think.
Granted the R2 will give the Red a lot more green maneuvers to work with it doesn't have a lot of natural stressors on it anyway so that could be a point to save somewhere else. I will not say the same about the Gold as the Y has plenty of red on the dial and little green to get rid of it. Speaking of the Gold there may be times it pays to drain the color from it at make it Grey; PL 4 gives you a chance at going before any non-uniques which may be helpful at times.
I wonder about finding the points to put the HLC on the Blue although using Ions to set up the enemy can be helpful.
I'm not entirely sold on losing the Stealth Device on the Green makes it more swarm appropriate. When swarms are rolling 2 attack dice getting 4 defense dice should make it harder to kill. I question the value of the Stealth Device more against hard hitters where it may only help against the first attack.
On your first list I count 29 points on the B-wing putting the total at 102 unfortunately. I like the idea of a couple of ion cannons though since large ships have to be hit twice.

Ion Cannon is 3 points. Ion Cannon TURRET is 5. That's where the extra two points are coming from in your list-checking.
I see that now. My apologies. I also just noticed that the 3 point cannon dosen't have the 360 fire arc like I assumed it did too.
ion cannon is also range 3, over the turrets range 2.

But you CAN shoot it at Range 3
