Found another cheap game board/mat

Tri-fold Black foam display board.. 48"x 36" granted it doesn't roll up, but it does fold flat. also don't know about its longevity as far as the unfolding and folding goes.. when unfolded the fold seams disappear.. also its dirt cheap, got one at wally world for like 9 bucks.. have seen them on the net for as low as 6 ish.. It is designed to take paint etc.. may even ask if the local print shop can put a design on it, for cheap of course... also along those same lines looking at neoprene as a game board if i can find some cheap sheets... got some samples with a black nylon backing.. its just like a mouse pad, actually its the same stuff... kind of pricey though..
I actually did the Tri-Fold foam board a while back and really liking it. Ill take some photos tonight and post it.
I went with a white board and bought some cloth and wrapped it around the board. So you have the play area on the cloth and the white on each side is for each player to hold their fleet. Worked out great.

I'm definitely doing this, I already have some of the glitter felt a lot of people use. I will probably get a black one and paint the edges of the laydown area though. See if I can find some imperial and rebel 4" round stickers for each side.
Amazon.com
Mouse pad material. I have not checked about prices yet.
Couldn't find it on their website.
here is a photo of mine
the place i looked for neoprene/mouse pad material was foamorder.com... came out to like 40 something a sheet, and that was before shipping... sheet is like 50"x80" keeping an eye out though, maybe hobby lobby has it, or fabric stores..
I too used the Elmers trifold foam board for a while and it is a good cheap solution; However, it did warp after about a month and a half. I was transporting it a lot, which may have been the cause. I bought a GF9 mat from Miniature Market and am very happy with it... My cost of buying more boards to warp vs $29.99; at roughly $6 a board I had about ten months of use to equal the same cost. Plus, the GF9 mat looks better in my opinion.
