I have been going over this in the rules and looking at how players might expand upon this premise. The rules state only 3 active specializations at one time only. With an increasing curve of xp for purchasing new ones. I like that you change out old for new in the ever changing metamorphosis of pcs but I do not like the idea of what they learned in one is dropped in favour of the a fourth. It makes sense to me that any hard xp they earned and spent in a specialization is kept though if they drop that particular specialization they lose access to purchasing any new abilities in that now discarded tree. I agree with the rules after the first tree no free upgrades. What do you think?
3 Active Specialization Limit. In with the new out with the old?
That particular restriction was dropped. Now you can invest in as many specs, with increasing costs, as you want and lose access to none of them.
I've never heard of that rule, where did you read that splad?

Its from the beta version. My core rulebook arrives from miniature market today yay ty for the clarification to my question anyway:)
This piece of nonsense was mercifully dropped during the Beta.
I guess you can still use it, if you want to be a masochist and have your players hate you ![]()

Helps if you get the update PDF to the Beta book if you're reading through it. That was dropped pretty early on and tons of other things were adjusted as well in the 12 or so updates that FFG released.

lol true. My core rules mercifully arrive today. I also ordered beta of Rebellion now that I am sitting down and intently reading the whole book. It seems every qualm or objection has been thrown out on the rules revision...excellent (rubs hands together with maniacle glee)This piece of nonsense was mercifully dropped during the Beta.

Hahaha, enjoy!
Actually, only one of my players actually has more than 3 specialisations, but it still seems a silly rule...
I've goofed off with Bren's character builder and have found that you can have a pretty awesome character with 6 specializations and good skill spread in a "decent" amount of time. I guess it depends on what your group has planed.
15 X 52 = 780
780 X 3 = 2340
We plan to run our characters through the course of all three books and possibly more.
That sounds cool, I wonder if Force & Destiny will have any options for non-Force users though. Certainly not every concept can or should be a Force-user, as tempting as it can be and as prevalent as it is with Relevant People in the setting.
Even though so many people seem to be thinking of Force and Destiny as a Jedi source book, it has to contain non-force centered content. It is a stand alone game the same way AoR and EotE are.
The destiny aspect doesn't have to be about the Balancing of the Force that Anakin fulfilled in RotJ. Could be Lando and Wedge destroying DeathStar2 or Akbar crippling the Imperial Fleet. Heck, it may even have Leia and Han's destiny to end Jaba's reign of terror.
With a grander view, all 6 movies could be the story of R2D2 and Chewbacca's destiny to topple the Empire. ![]()
I am curious to see the direction the 3rd book takes. And, honestly, I want a some more force stuff too.

Interesting perspective, I like it C3PO created by the too be Vader is in turn defeated by him I like the irony of that. Yes they are know we are thirsting for Jedi so that Is why it is being saved for last and keep us wading through this oooohh great products they release in the meanwhile heh ![]()
