NEW ADD ON

A changeling is also on the box art. I think the changeling looks vaguely female?

If you are referring to the character in the background on the staircase, that looks like Tristayne.

Very possible they are genderless. Being changelings and chaotic beasts coming from Ynfernael. It would be interesting if the figures portrayed them as female.

Changelings having both male and female attributes would be very interesting! I'm excited to see what the final figurine will look like... Out of the monsters in this bunch, they're certainly the most fascinating.

Wait is that thing with the shield and spear the shape changer?

not an automaton?

That's the Ironbound Golem, I believe.

So we haven't seen it then?

Maybe and this is just a maybe they will spawn with some kind of friendly/neutral unit from the game as interchangeable baddies where effectively could be the real deal and goodies etc or doppelgangers and in control of overlord, or would let the Overlord pick another creature not already written into the quest and the play piece, I don't really see the point of a shape changer figure as surely they are just the people they copy.??

@Ringskipper do you mean the hand on the right with the purple magic and on the far end behind the pillar?

if so they look more undead looking than female personally I know it is confirmed as a shape changer so will just have to wait and see how that plays out

edit: what I am trying to say is a goblin archer shoots arrows a mage casts spells and a shape changer changes form so either a) it's an adaptable monster and lets you change what it can do or b) it is based on confusing the player, by playing a different model aka doppelganger

Completely forgot about the changeling! Might even be powerful enough where it warrants just one minion and one master, similar to the deep elves.

As for actual shifting of the master changeling, I wonder if it'll have just a generic monster model, and either additional cards to represent what "form" it has taken, or instructions in the quest booklet to define "what" the changeling can be.

It would be great if it is like Chaos beasts in which they are always ranged no matter the shape and weapon it takes.

Just a quick take on the new warrior class as well, surely your better having a divergence of choices than all the warriors basically carbon copies of each other?

not a Hero so feel like a bit of a vegetarian discussing the best way to cook bacon

UNLIKE runebound which I missed out on. I got into board gaming in time to snag all the 2nd edition descent boxes so far and I look forward to this one as well! Now even though I haven't played it yet I know the day is coming soon!! Technically I'm kinda trying to finish Rise of the RuneLords Adventure Card Game with my buddies but I'm really thinking of you, Descent...
