Taskmasters Ring

By Roxxy, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Just finished a w/end of campaigning D2 lots of questions arose, here is the first. Does the ring use need to have been moving to get the continued benefit of the 2 movement points if he spends a surge on it as he has to fight first to get the surge. Therefore if he hoes a non-movement action then fights can he spend a surg on the 2 movement points even though he is not moving?

You do not need to declare a move action to spend movement points if you have them to spare. With the ring, you can attack, spend the surge to gain movement, move two spaces, attack again, spend another surge and move another two spaces. The same way that spending fatigue to move does not require an action, you may spend accumulated movement without using an action.

Ok thanks forthat as i thought but if its a Lieutenant i thought he could only do 1 fight and 1 move action in a turn? sorry if i forgot to say this ring is only usable by the Lieutenants

No, no. You are correct. As it stands, there are no LT that can attack twice. 9ofSpades was using that as an example.

Let's say Zackarith has the ring on. He could attack, spend the surge to move and then use Dominion. No move action is required to be able to use the two movement points. That's what makes the ring really good.

As i thought but was a discussion the gp had cheers
