So, here's what's up: I run a small group at home. It's fun, we banter, but they aren't really into the 'Get into character' bit. And that's kinda frustrating. Because then I slack on developing the story and I stop using details.
It sucks.
That's where you come in, you basement dwelling dorks. I want five (maybe more, I'll settle for less, but five is my magic number) people to get in contact with me, show that you have acceptable roleplaying skills, work with me to create your character, and join me, and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son!
....
Wait.
Anyways, here's the details.
First, we will be roleplaying in Google Docs.
I cannot begin to explain how great a tool Google Docs has been for just my small group. I am able to give detailed information about piddly characters, keep exact track of everything the group is doing, and share that information with the group. It is an amazing tool. Like the entire cast of the Jersey Shore, but actually useful.
Second, I have the dice app for SW:EoE. Although we will be using a doc created by a member of this site, I am looking for people that are okay with me handling the dice rolls. I don't want to have to worry about webcam chats for players to show their rolls or players just lying about the roll. I can develop the story however the roll turns out; I have no reason to sabotage or lie about the outcome of the roll. I am open to reasonable options.
Third, I want people that are willing to trust my word. I have no issue with a polite challenge to a ruling, but if I am being questioned constantly about "Are you sure you didn't just make that up?", it is going to get old fast. Truth is, I have plenty enough that I have to just make up. I am more than happy to leave outcomes of rolls to the dice. I already have to explain how the dice roll affects the situation anyways. >.> Also, if I fudge results of a roll, it tends to be in the players favor anyways. I have an issue with a failure roll so epic that it SHOULD mean a Player Character dies. It just doesn't feel right. lol
Fourth, I need people with similar schedules to my own. I am not talking about playing EVERY night, but if we could pick a day or a time once a week that we can all settle on, that would be fine. A few nights a week would be even better.
I work 8-5, Monday-Friday, with weekends off. I live in time zone GMT-7. Or Mountain Time for you Americans who can't figure out this metric ****.
Anyways, reply if you're interested. I'd like to get this started sometime this weekend, really.
If you are unwilling to use Google Docs, please don't apply. I am looking to have people online together in real time. And I can't stress how awesome Google Docs is.
Seriously. It turns my software into hardware.
