I love the TIE Bomber, I think I always have. I now own three. I decided to come up with a list that uses all three.
In general I am the first guy to tell you to cut out extra upgrades, but my goal here was to do 3 TIE Bombers on 100 points. I don't think it would win any tournaments, but I still think it is pretty competative.
Here goes:
Major Rhymer + Push the Limit + Advanced Proton Torpedoe, + Cluster Missiles + Shield Upgrade + Seismic Charge
Captain Jonus + Squad Leader + Proton Bomb
Gama Squadron + Concusion Missile + Cluster Missile
Captain Jonus stays a little behind, but close to the other two Bombers giving them their 2 re-rolls.
I put the bombs on for later in the battle. I didn't care much for bombs before until I saw them used on a Youtube battle report. An auto crit on every one within range (even if their shields were up) seemed awesome, but I think you need to put them on more skilled pilot so you can make sure the ships don't fly away from the bomb.
Major Rhymer is my heavy hitter with push the limit he can target lock and focus every turn he needs to fire as he slowly approaches the battle (doing greens all the way). I gave him the cheaper bombs and the shield becasue he is already going to attract a lot of hate.
Gama Pilot is my back up hitter. Jonus's Squad Leader will let the Gama Pilot focus and Target Lock for his ordinance.
I expect that a skilled player will try to take out Rymer of Jonus first. But which ever they choose with TIE Bomber's six hull points added to the slow approach should make it difficult whipe any ship out too early.
