From the base set. Just thought I'd share here.

Awesome paint job PP!

Impressive !

the bases are awesome !

Color me impressed! Even the bases are exceptional.

Thanks! I haven't picked up any of the expansions yet although I really want to get the Trollfens one and all of the Lieutenant packs. I ultimately would love to have an all dwarf party.

The trollfens figures are really detailed. It's either going to be fun or a nightmare to paint. I wish I knew how or I would try painting ours.

i'm a bit disapointed in harpies

their faces are not so detailed

I was thinking of the heroes. The harpies are just ugly.

Isn't that the point? ;-)

These look fantastic! I can't wait to get around to paint mine.

Hehe I guess so.

Original lore had harpies a little less ugly and a little more disturbing. They where birds with a woman's face. Somewhere along the line, they where mistaken for a different kind of siren, and thus went with a far uglier feel as what we commonly think of harpies.

I guess a piece of me was hoping for the disturbing, but they needed the ugly for the plot and feel for Trollfens. I still like them ^.^

Lore also says they were created through sorcery (at least in Trollfens), so it's possible there are a few different types of harpies created by different sorcerers.

I was pulling from greek mythology. ^.^;; Aside from Trollfens' explanation, I don't know what this realm was thinking. These fit a modern take on harpies.

I've found plastic figures in general are not as detailed as metal ones, but I sometime enjoy painting the plastic ones more, because it can be a challenge to make them look as good as the metal ones. I find that the proper paint job can make or break a plastic figure.

I'm not so sure. Heroes are really heavily detailled. Looks like mold are not the same
