Austin, TX Tournament November 16th

By LunaticPathos, in X-Wing Organized Play

Hey folks,

Once again, Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy will be hosting a Star Wars X-Wing tournament. For November, the tournament will occur on the 3rd Saturday of the month instead of the 2nd, due to other scheduling limitations and November having 5 Saturdays.

Prize support will still be from Season 2 kit, though I've got some Season 1 kit stuff left over, and hopefully we'll have the Season 3 kits for December or January.

This tournament will go back to standard 100 point tournament.

As for time of day, please let me know what works for you. Post in this thread if you'd prefer noon or 6 pm, or if you have no preference, so I can get an idea of which has the majority. I'll also check with folks who show up in the store that don't necessarily post here, though, so if it doesn't end up matching this thread's preference, that's why.

Please reply so we can sort out the timing issue soon and get it posted to the store's calendar!

Thanks,

Jeff

Okay, looks like the store's events coordinator already put it on the calendar as a Team Tournament at 6. Since its on our calendar online and in print everywhere, I think I'm gonna have to stick to 6 for this tournament. Again, since its on there, we'll call it a team tournament first, but if nobody wants to do that we can just do a standard instead.

That is to say, if people come in teams then we'll do teams, and I can be odd-man out so that we've got an even number of players and it works. If everyone shows up to play standard, though, we'll do that.

Sorry about the confusion, folks.

Still vote on time though so I can use the information for future events.

I'm planning to make this. I'm cool with a normal or team tournament.

I prefer 6:00 start time.

Had a few more people in the store ask if we could do a standard tournament, so it looks like its leaning that way if people are leery of team tournament.

I plan on making this and would be fine either way, but I think I would lean towards standard as well. I also prefer 6:00 start times.

This tournament is coming up this Saturday at 6:00 pm! Last bump to spread awareness. I'm no longer running these on the clock, so as long as there's another person with good rules knowledge, I can play, too! I'll try to get my wife to get in on it as well.
