A-Wing Mark II - non-unique ship title, 0 cost
This card adds the [system Upgrade] icon to your ship's upgrade bar.
what upgrade cards would you like to see in future expansions?
a couple of people have mentioned this already, more droid unit upgrades for x's and y's!!!
How is this fair for the Empire? What do they get for compensation?
Compensation? TIE swarms.
Modifications:
Maneuvering Flaps - Add {Barrel Roll} to your action bar. 4 points
Enhanced Blasters - Increase your primary weapon's value by 1 (To a maximum of 3). 5 points
Getting closer! Much more elegant.
"He can't do that"- when you reveal your dial, instead of performing that manuever, perform one maneuver speed 1-4 maneuver not listed on your dial and gain a stress token. Immediatelyroll 1 red die; on a *hit* result discard this card, but on a *crit* result discard this card and deal yourself 1 face-up damage card.
How much are we costing this at?

Trade 2 torpedo slots for the ability to carry 1 bomb this would let Bwings and Ywings carry bombs without over ordinacing them or a TIE bomber to carry 2 bombs.
This would be worth 0 to 2 pts range I reckon.

I had the same idea but was going to call it Lateral Thrusters or Thruster Upgrade or something.

I like this idea too.
Darklighter Spin: (pilot upgrade) (X-wing only)
Spend a focus to perform attack. Increase the attack by 2 dice. If attack destroys enemy target may preform attack again against another target in range band one of the original target that is still in your arc of fire. If performing additional attacks decrease the attack dice by one for each new attack. After attack, take a stress token.
I wouldn't mind cards that didn't just play up a single ship but something that happens between ships, like:
"Cover Me" When attacked, this ship may add to its agility roll X dice, where X is the attack stat of a friendly ship at range 1. The covering ship's agility is reduced to 1 for this round.
I like the idea of scenarios but, frankly, I suspect we'd get bored with them after awhile. Eventually scenarios will find lists that are ideal and, once found, they'll seem meh. After all, lists are already developed for the overall 'scenario' of dogfighting. Specific goals will only refine matters more. Don't get me wrong, I think they'd be fun. But I don't think they'd solve the overall issue of wanting something more.
What is needed is something that lends scenario-like purpose to the overall game flexability. Kind of like the secret mission objectives in Risk. Isn't Risk just dogfighting at the global level after all? I don't mean X-wing needs secret objectives, just that the concept would be applicable. Cards that promoted some kind of synergy beneficial to player (i.e. the purpose of a scenario) but overall left the dogfighting meta-game intact. It would give the oppoenent something to work against and another facet of the game for lists to satisfy. Like:
New Recruit (PS 4 or less): For as long as this ship survives, friendly ships cannot lose actions.
The scenario-esq purpose is keeping a new squadronmate alive and grants the overall list an incentive for doing so. You can still run whatever list you want and an opponent 'plays into' the pseudo-scenario by likely seeking to undermine the card's conditions -- in this case going after the weakest link. It creates an atmosphere like a scenario, can be introduced to any game, and doesn't require the structure of scenarios. The way I see it, the game already operates on one basic premise: dogfight. And we play to this by fielding the best ships with the best pilots we can. EPTs could still be used too. But with something like this it would also inject some storyline into the most basic encounter.
Decorated: 1pt(Title) Add Elite Pilot Upgrade to the upgrade bar, or add an additional Elite Pilot Upgrade. Minimum Pilot Skill: 5
Also side question: I'm not totally hip on star wars lore other than the movies and some video games. Is there a ship that could be considered for this game that would allow two R2 units as upgrades? That might be broken, but I was just wondering.

I like Decorated, but I don't think it would be a title. Seems like it could be something like:
Decorated: 2pt(Elite Pilot Talent) Requirement: Minimum Pilot Skill: 5.
Any Pilot may take this EPT. Add Elite Pilot Upgrade to your upgrade bar.
I don't know about allowing a second EPT though. That sounds like a recipe for something broken to happen. Also, 1pt is a little low. Giving something without PTL the ability to take PTL should cost just a bit more.

Yeah the title part is odd, but so is calling it an EPT than equipping it to a ship with no EPT to give them an EPT. Anyone can take a title or mod and it's not present on the bar so I tried to make it fit with those parameters. Having 2 EPT's would be a nice recipe to see cooked up. ![]()
I'm guessing some silly Vader/Soonir/Turr trix where they win the game by never actually get shot at. Also, with Kir coming giving him PTL would be pretty brutal.
For Rebels the last thing Han needs is more power and more options.
Sharpshooter or Focused Lasers 4 points, either a EPT or Upgrade.
Increase the range that the ship gets a extra attack die to 1-2
Edited by VanorDMReset Targeting Distance: " You may add 1 die to attack at range 2 instead of at range 1" 2 pt modification.
That would certainly make Kir Kanos happy
"Spectacular Explosion!" When this ship is reduced to 0 Hull it is destroyed and deals 1 damage to all ships within range 1.
Just for Fun:
Carbonite Prison (Slave1 Only, must be taken with rebel captive) 'Automatically downgrade Han Solo to lesser YT-1300 pilot of that players choice - the remaining points must be spent on the new ship only'. [cost 2]
Jedi Master (Luke Skywalker only) 'Luke or ally at range 1 can reroll one dice per turn' [cost 4]
Sith Lord (Darth Vader only) 'Vader gains one extra defense dice when he is attacked by an enemy with pilot skill less than 8' [cost 3]
