what upgrade cards would you like to see in future expansions?

primary weapons upgrade (modification) card would be nice. probably worth a lot of points though..

Gravity Well: any forward maneuvers whose template would pass your ship become banks. Any banking maneuvers whose template would pass your ship become turns.

I don't know about cards, but would love more scenarios. Once new scenarios come into play, then having new cards would become worth it. Right now I only played a few games, but seeing there is only what 5 or so scenarios, I can't see keep playing the same thing over and over again, even if new cards come out.

I believe we need new cards to keep it fresh, but we need new scenarios so it would make it worth it having new cards and abilities.

A tractor beam for the large ships. Repair droids that can repair your ship slowly when damaged (lot of points there. Maybe like roll 3 evade dice, if all 3 are evasion symbols then regain a hull point, focus can be spent to boost). Some of the surviving jedi like Kota should have ships and rules that represent them using the force in ships, so should vader really. An emperor upgrade card for the lambda where his ship cant be struck as nearby ships in any range band rush to get hit instead to defend there lord and master. And he can move asteroids up to movement value 2 each turn with the force. A Corran Horn pilot card. Vaders dark jedi in craft with some form of "force sense" upgrade so they get high evasion levels (as all jedi are meant to have insane reflexes). Experimental weapon upgrade cards like the falcon lightning cannon. Oh and I want the virago and outrider.

R4 G9 Action: Gain 1 shield token up to your maximum allowed. - 5 points

R4 P17 Discard this card to discard 1 face down damage card - 1 pt

Titles:

(A wing only) Weapon Power Pack: Immediately after placement of your forces, lose 1 shield token to recieve +1 attack die to your primary attack for the rest of the game. - 2 pts

(Y wing only) Longprobe Y wing: Replace "droid" and "turret" upgrade with "crew" and "cannon" upgrade. Cannot equip the Heavy Laser Cannon - 0 pt

(Tie Advanced only) Tie Avenger: Your primary weapon may target ships outside of your firing arc. - 3 pts

And it is super undercosted imo snd doesn't really make much sense in terms of what the Avenger does.

Hull Armor Upgrade +1=4pts.

What are your thoughts behind this? AFIK, the TIE/ Avenger does not have a turret or rear firing weapons. Does this represent some sort of enhanced maneuverability?

I think he's got the Avenger mixed up with the Aggressor, which is another variant that looks like the Advanced.

Sergovan what version of the Y wing Longprobe are you basing your title card? All I can see is that it still keeps the astromech and loses the weapons system officer. Therefore it only has the pilot and no space for a crewman because of the extra sensors and extended range capability (hence long-probe). So while I agree it replaces the Turret icon with a Cannon icon (ion only) it would not have a crew slot but a Sensor icon added.

The thing with the Y-Wing is I consider the second crew memeber to already be in the stats for the model in the fact it can take a turret which needs a gunner to operate it. Just like you don't get a crew card for the pilot as he's busy piloting, I don't think you should get one for the gunner as he is busy shooting.. Now I would be fine with a Upgrade that allowed you to swap the turret for either a crew or a systems upgrade.

New x-wing pilots and astromech droids please. Breath some life into the old girl, the game is named after her...

What's funny is the Tie "Avenger" and the Longprobe Y were both ideas that were on other threads from other people that I tried to bring over to this one because I thought that they would be good variants to what we have now. All the other cards I made myself.

I was a little rushed in trying to complete the post so I didn't back-check those to to see if I had remembered them correctly.

The Tie Advanced Title should be Aggressor but the models look so different. FFG may actually come out with more Tie models as opposed to title variant cards. I think that the 2 attack turret option on an imperial fighter would be a good upgrade to put on the Advanced as that fighter is overpriced for what you get out of it unless it is Vader. The other option is to make a PS 4 pilot with an ability.

Found the post by DB draft in the "Ships that need help" topic. I didn't do it justice.

I was imagining the crew that could work on a Y variant as more than one person has commented that there should be a crew slot on a Y. Intelligence Agent, Nien Nub, Navigator, Chewbacca, Weapons Engineer, Mercenary Copilot, Recon specialist, Flight instructor, Saboteur. They all have something to give, some better than others, but it can feel like a 2 person craft.

Gunner and Luke would be overpriced for the job of crewing a Y, Rebel captive and Vader not being allowed.

The tie advanced sits between the bomber and fighter, having been to costly to be a used as a bomber and over priced as a fighter when you can get 2 ties for your low-middle price. If they shaved 2 points off the cost on all then it would be a more viable option IMO (except for Vader).

The card that should go on an Advanced then would be:

(it would represent the Advanced as a testing model for the other variants that came after, like the Aggressor.)

How about change it to "perform any 1, 2, 3, or 4 straight, bank or turn maneuver. Roll 1 green and 1 red dice. On an evade on the green die gain a stress token. On a crit on the red die, take 1 damage and 1 stress token and discard this card."

More manageable?

How about change it to "perform any 1, 2, 3, or 4 straight, bank or turn maneuver. Roll 1 green and 1 red dice. On an evade on the green die gain a stress token. On a crit on the red die, take 1 damage and 1 stress token and discard this card."

"He can't do that"- when you reveal your dial, instead of performing that manuever, perform 1 red maneuver not listed on your dial then roll 1 red die; on a *hit* result discard this card, but on a *crit* result discard this card and deal yourself 1 face-up damage card.
